& Qualifications Lawrence University of Wisconsin, an undergraduate liberal arts college and conservatory of music located in Appleton, Wisconsin, invites applications for a full-time, one-year position to conduct the wind ensemble and teach other courses to begin September 1, 2024.

RESPONSIBILITIES: We are seeking a creative, collaborative colleague to join our forward-looking community as a wind ensemble conductor. Candidates will teach a section of Conducting Principles (the required class for most BMus majors) and will be expected to teach at least one other course in music education or another area which may include, but are not limited to: music theory, community collaboration coordinator, chamber music coordinator, music production, entrepreneurship, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS: Demonstrated excellence in conducting and knowledge of repertoire from a wide range of styles. Must be able to bring our students to the highest levels of artistic and musical mastery in a nurturing, student-centered environment. Appropriate terminal degree or equivalent experience. A record of successful collegiate teaching and recruiting is desirable. Although this is a Conservatory position, strong support of the ideals and goals of a broad liberal arts education is a must.
