What You Will Do:

Promote, practice and believe in health, safety, and environmental initiatives (QHSE) and actively participates in QHSE programs of both Contractor and Customer.

Implementation and maintenance of Laboratory Quality Management System.

Shall be capable of performing the laboratory aspects of a job assignment with minimum supervision. The laboratory technician shall receive assignments from the Production supervisor and Technical engineers.

Maintain lab facilities in good condition, including maintenance and calibration of laboratory instruments and for maintaining proper levels of chemical regents and supplies for inventory of laboratory.

Participate at the lab quality control/quality assurance program and ensure the laboratory has all the necessary for work equipment, materials, reagents etc.

Prepare the lab equipment for analysis, conduct calibration and perform simple adjustments in according with equipment manuals and other technical documentation.

Shall be capable of generating relevant laboratory reports.

Systematically handle the results of all analysis, tests and measurements, keep the records according in compliance with requirements of the laboratory quality systems as applicable to the sample being analyzed.

Actively support lab audits during field visit.

Assist during laboratory accreditation performed to ensure compliance to external and internal audits of laboratory QAS compliance to Data Integrity Assurance Framework (DIAF) and Quality Practices and Guidelines.

Perform testing required by Environmental/Sanitation and Hygiene Monitoring and Waste Management Program.

Shall coordinate core sample analyses with external laboratories when necessary.

Minimum Qualifications:

University Diploma or equivalent experience

Valid laboratory technician certificate

Verbal and written communication skills

Computer skills, including excel, power point, and email communication

Excellent work ethic

Sets good example for others and promotes a positive environment

Excellent computer skills, including MS Office and email communication

Fluent English.

Physical Demand and Job Conditions:

The role is deemed safety-sensitive and may be subject to employer or customer drug testing and background checks.

Must be able to lift and carry 25 lbs. regularly and 50 lbs. occasionally.

Employee is required to occasionally walk in customer field locations, which may include inclines, uneven surfaces, and a variety of weather conditions.

Employee is required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment including but not limited to shoes/boots, hard hats, or respirators.

Work normally is executed at customer field (offshore vessel) in a variety of weather and temperature conditions.
