Piedmont Virginia Community College (PVCC) is a nonresidential two-year institution of higher education that serves Central Virginia – principally residents of the City of Charlottesville and the counties of Albemarle, Buckingham, Fluvanna, Greene, Louisa and Nelson. Our scenic campus is located in Albemarle County, Virginia. We are one of 23 community colleges in Virginia that comprise the Virginia Community College System (VCCS).The Enrollment & Records Specialist provides customer and administrative support for programmatic offerings necessary to effectively deliver Workforce Services courses. This position interacts daily with the students, program managers in Workforce Services, other staff, instructors, the business office, and the business community. Responsible for both telephone and face-to-face support for students, student enrollment, student files, instructor support, and communications with the business community. This position has high interaction with the public and other offices within the college.

KSA's/Required Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent work experience. Experience providing customer service in an office setting. Excellent customer service approach to address phone, email and in-person inquiries. Strong data entry skills with attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Word. Effective written and oral communication skills. Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills. Familiarity with record keeping processes. Ability to interact with a high volume and diverse group of people. Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently as well as part of a team. Demonstrated commitment to community college philosophy and student success.Additional Considerations Experience with WES and/or PeopleSoft. Knowledge of VCCS academic and workforce programs. Ability to complete tasks with minimal direction. Experience customizing spreadsheets and generating reports. Experience in a fast-paced office environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and student information systems. Knowledge of workforce funding assistance programs such as FastForward, G3, and FANTIC.
