Job Description:

Key Responsibilities 

Perform basic or minor repairs and inspections on brakes, tires, wiring, etc.Perform essential and routine preventative maintenance on trailers.Repair/Replace body parts such as floors, rails, landing gear, and doors.Accurately complete DOT forms and all other forms of documentation in a timely manner.Maintain a high level of productivity and be able to work with minimal supervision.Drive trucks in and out of shops to stage trailers.Work closely with other mechanics and make suggestions on complicated repairs.Clean and maintain the work area daily.Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience 

Typically possesses High School diploma (or equivalent) and 0-2 years of experience.

Knowledge and Skills 

Good organizational skills and attention to detail.Good customer service skills.Good written and oral communication skills.Ability to communicate professionally and courteously with customers and colleagues at delivery points.Ability to remain focused in a fast-paced environment.Specialized driver's license(s), such as commercial driver's license, may be required.40
