Northwest Talent Solutions is partnering witha leading financial services company in McLean VA to recruit aData Governance Senior for theirInvestments & Capital Markets (I&CM) division. This rolewill be part of the I&CM Information and Technology RiskGovernance Team performing data governance and complianceactivities.

Job Summary:

The Data Governance Senior will govern information andtechnology risk implement data governance practices evaluate thedivisions information risk profile and champion the strategic valueof data within I&CM. This role requires strong attention todetail multitasking abilities and welldeveloped organizationalskills.

Key Duties &Responsibilities:
  • Craft strategiesaround data quality and implementation of metadata and informationgovernance
  • Create and maintain processesaligned with divisional and enterprise data governancestandards
  • Support identification andmanagement of I&CMs critical data
  • Executeand improve I&CMs data governance framework focusing on dataquality issue management and protection of sensitivedata
  • Partner with I&CM groups to developeffective information risk management strategies
  • Develop management reporting on informationrisk
  • Manage I&CM Community inCollibra
  • Comply with Enterprise metadatacapture requirements including data lineage
  • Maintain information and relationships between processesapplications business terms etc.
  • Develop andmaintain workflows
  • Coordinate with otherdivisions on metamodel changes
Qualifications:

I.Education:

  • Bachelorsdegree in IT Finance or related field (or equivalentexperience)

II.Experience:

  • 58 yearsof information risk / data governance experience in financialservices
  • Handson experience with Collibra
  • Experience with reporting/data tools likeTableau / Alteryx

III.License(s)/Certification(s):

  • Industrycertifications in data governance or risk management aplus
Knowledge Skills &Abilities:
  • Expert knowledge ininformation/data risk management including privacy cyber riskidentity/access management
  • Experience definingbusiness processes and information flows including metadata andlineage
  • Understanding of industry standardinformation risk management processes
  • Abilityto craft and maintain operational policies and procedures forinformation risk/data governance
  • Solidunderstanding of cloud technology (AWS)
  • Excellent verbal and written communicationskills
  • Experience with Agile methodologies andAPIs (preferred)
  • Initiativetaker with positiveattitude and problemsolving mindset
  • Criticaland logical thinking abilities
  • Outstandingtimemanagement skills and strong work ethic
