Travel Contract GI/Endoscopy Nurse RN - Rochester, NY

Location: Various healthcare facilities in Rochester, NY

Pay:

  • Weekly stipend: $1,316.00
  • Weekly pay rate: $1,260.00
  • Total weekly compensation: $2,576.00

Job Title: GI/Endoscopy Nurse RN

Shifts:

  • 4-10's, Monday to Friday
  • Varying shifts between 8:00 am to 6:30 pm
  • 40 hours per week
  • 13-week contract

Responsibilities:

  • Provide nursing care to patients undergoing GI procedures and endoscopies.
  • Assist with navigational bronchoscopies as well as all endoscopy procedures.
  • Prepare patients for procedures, including obtaining consent, assessing vital signs, and starting intravenous lines.
  • Monitor patients during procedures and provide support and comfort as needed.
  • Administer conscious sedation under the direction of the physician or anesthesia provider.
  • Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure safe and effective patient care.

Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of New York.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in GI/endoscopy nursing.
  • Experience with navigational bronchoscopies and all endoscopy procedures required.
  • Epic EMR experience preferred.
  • BLS certification required.
