Job Summary:
The Sr. IT Project Manager is a motivating leader who drives strategic initiatives ensuring collaboration, communication, and visibility of projects. Incumbent is a self-starting individual with an aptitude for creative and critical thinking. Individual uses business expertise and enjoys collaborating with partners at all levels of the organization to implement positive change.Leader thrives in a dynamic and agile work environment with iterative planning and delivery cycles, ensuring quality control throughout the project life. Senior IT Project Manager helps envision solutions and adapts style to the business style of stakeholders and areas of the business. Individual nurtures positive, professional relationships, acting as a trusted partner and a respectful challenger.
Communication Skills
The foundation of incumbent’s success includes their attention to detail, listening to the requirements, and taking the business needs of initiatives all the way through to the finish line. They are great at keeping everyone in the loop and are skilled with today’s communication technologies. The incumbent is able to engage with other to ensure all are on the same page and is a resource that can help clear roadblocks for project objectives.

Major Responsibilities:
Leads large domain/discipline projects from end to end while ensuring stakeholder alignment along the way
Helps support and organize product strategy across single domain/discipline
Helps articulate business needs through in-depth domain knowledge
Responsible for project execution
Understands and communicates context of interdependencies within domain/discipline
Tracks and measures project benefits
Significant contributor to Best Practices Team of all the IT Project Managers in the organization
Comfortable developing and presenting at Director leadership level
Holds team members accountable, ensuring project team leadership has a clear understanding of goals and timelines
Guides other project managers and teams in domain/disciplineto analyze and solve problems (people, structures, processes and technology); identifies the things that work together to improve operational health
Challenges, engages and inspires others to commit to the work
Encourages project leadership to celebrate successes and recognize team members
Understands talent capabilities and gaps within projects
Delivers constructive feedback, training, and coaching to improve the performance of others and inspires the team to excel
Incumbent Attributes:
Education: Bachelor’s degree (Information Technology/Computer Science) or its equivalent in a related field is typically preferred.
Other unique job-relevant attributes:
Experience managing projects with budget of $1M-$5M
Agile/lean experience in organizations leveraging lean/agile methodologies and in-depth experience with agile methodologies
PMI-PMP preferred
Project management experience in information technology with a focus on managing medium/large projects
Ability to work in diverse, fast paced environment and effectively collaborate
Excellent analytical, interpersonal as well as verbal and written communication skills
Position Scope/Contribution
Breadth of Scope: Has specialized depth and/or breadth in own discipline or function. Frequently represents the function as a subject matter expert. The scope is typical in singledomains/discipline or work team. The impact is generally limited to the domain/discipline area(s) supported but may vary.

Information exchanged requires knowledge in a particular area. Influence and persuasion are likely with internal colleagues and leaders. May develop/mentor less experienced staff within their functional area(s).

Regularly uses a significant level of logic, and reasoning by examining multiple perspectives and critical thinking to assess situations.
