Job Description
This position has basic knowledge of pathophysiology of cancer and is able to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care for these special patients.
- (30%)* Regularly assesses patients/clients needs and provides skilled nursing services as prescribed by the physician authorized plan of care, and accepted standards of nursing practice.
- (30%)* Provides direct resident care, including medication administration, treatments, call lights, assisting with transfers, responding to alarms, etc. Demonstrates a consistent high level of customer services and compassion when delivering care to patients.
- (20%)* Evaluates effectiveness of treatment plan and makes suggestions or participates in updating/revising the treatment plan in collaboration with other team members, utilizing current information to improve patient care.
- (10%)* Processes physician/provider orders and performs physician ordered care accurately, completely and in a timely manner.
- (10%)* Follows up regarding medication changes and order clarifications.
SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS
- Infusion Experience - Highly preferred
- Oncology Experience - Required
- Critical Care/ED Experience - Highly Preferred
- Epic Experience - Preferred
- Skills: IV Infusion, IM/SQ injections, Blood Draws, Central Line Access- Medport/PICC line, etc.
CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- ACLS (AHA)
- BLS (AHA)
STATE LICENSE REQUIREMENTS
- Michigan
ADDITIONAL LICENSE REQUIREMENTS
- Must be active
ABOUT THE FACILITY
Located on 225 acres of wooded campus in Midland, Michigan, the 324-bed Medical Center offers a broad range of primary care and specialty care services, as well as 24-hour emergency care and Level II trauma care.
Facility Specific Requirement: Cannot accept local candidates that live within 50 miles of the facility.
