JOB SUMMARY: The warehouse selector is an integral part of the Northgate Familia ensuring Northgate Markets are provided accurately selected products. The associate will be certified and capable to safely operate material handling equipment and must be capable of intermitted standing and walking for two to three hours consecutive. This position requires the ability to safely perform work in a multi-temperature environment and of physical nature, such as lifting cases, bags, boxes and pallets from floor level to chest level. Cases, bags, boxes and pallets will vary in weight, up to 90 pounds or more.
Northgate Markets’ best-in-class distribution center is the heart of ensuring our stores are filled with the products our customers love. Our warehouse was built with a safety-first perspective from the racking to the equipment to the bi-lingual voice-activated technology used to select the product. WORK SCHEDULE: Overnight PM shift starting 4:00pm. Must be able to work on Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays. Flexible to days off and PTO.
PAY: Competitive hourly rate starting at $21.50/hr.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Order selection
Material handling equipment operation including pre
Order accuracy auditing
Move goods around the warehouse, pack and load goods for shipment.
Select, store, pack and monitor inventory of products or equipment for the company
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Capable of working in a multi-temperature environment
Ability to walk and stand for multiple hours
Ability to lift 90+ lbs.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
Ability to organize, prioritize work assignments
Capable of safely operating material handling equipment
Detail oriented
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
High school graduate or equivalent education
Material handling equipment certification (certification will be provided by the company)
Warehouse operations knowledge, delivery operations knowledge and excellent interpersonal skills
