What we want

The Program Manager for the Research and Evaluation Core of the Texas A&M University Telehealth Institute, under direction, plans, organizes, directs, and manages day-to-day activities and develops and implements procedures for the administration of the Telehealth Institute Research Core. This role coordinates the development and submission of funding proposals and provides support for the setup and implementation of funded programs, including coordinating with TAMU departments and research supports, and external collaborators.

What you need to know

Salary: Compensation will be commensurate to the selected hire’s experience.

Required Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Management or related areas, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

5 years of relevant experience in grants or program management

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Expertise in program management

Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications

Proficient verbal and written communication skills

Strong interpersonal, leadership, problem solving, and organizational skills

Maintains attention to detail and utilizes sound judgment

Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of telehealth

Knowledge of healthcare systems and services

Experience with project evaluation

Experience with funding application processes

Experience with academic Institutional Review Boards (IRBs)

Experience with qualitative and quantitative research methods

Experience in graphic design (e.g., Canva)

Responsibilities:

Program Management

Manages day to day tasks for the implementation of funded projects and Research Core initiatives

Communicates with project partners and funders

Coordinates efforts within project teams and among research staff

Supports data collection activities

Plans and assists with IRB submissions

Research Application Coordination

Manages grant writing processes

Prepares budgets

Prepares supporting documents

Coordinates with TAMU research services

Research Core Collaboration

Assists in developing strategic plans and goals to support the Research Core

Develops and implements plans and processes for Research Core administration

Performs other duties as assigned
