Based in New York or Los Angeles, the Digital Marketing Manager will play a key role in managing and maintaining our firm’s website including ensuring its functionality, design and content meet the highest standards. Collaborating with various internal teams, the Digital Marketing Manager will develop and implement website strategies that align with the firm’s business goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong content management background, exceptional attention to detail, and a passion for delivering an excellent user experience.

This role reports to the Co-Chief Marketing and Business Development Officers and works closely with the Brand, Communications and Business Development teams.

Responsibilities include:

Regularly update and optimize website content, including text, images, page links and multimedia elements, to keep it up-to-date and engaging. Manage and maintain the law firm’s website, ensuring its functionality and responsiveness. Monitor website performance, conduct regular audits, and implement necessary improvements to enhance user experience, search engine visibility and overall site performance. Collaborate with the marketing and communications teams to develop and implement website strategies, ensuring alignment with the firm’s brand identity and business objectives. Work with the business development team to ensure that attorney profiles, practice area descriptions and other relevant content are kept current and relevant including key practice developments. Coordinate with external vendors, such as web developers and designers, to implement website enhancements and resolve technical issues. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in web design, user experience, and search engine optimization (SEO). Implement and maintain web analytics tools to track website performance and generate regular reports on key metrics. Ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards, including data privacy and confidentiality in all aspects of website management. Ensure compliance with client requirements and any marketing restrictions.

Qualifications

Proven experience in website project management, as a content manager or in a similar role, preferably within a law firm or professional services environment. Strong project management and time management skills. Strong knowledge of website analytics tools, such as Google Analytics, and experience in interpreting and utilizing data to drive website improvements. Familiarity with SEO principles and best practices. Keen attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills to identify and resolve technical issues. Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Strong written and verbal communications skills. Strong proofreading skills and keen attention to detail. Strong understanding of legal terminology and practices is a plus.

Experience

Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in communications and/or web development. 7+ years of experience in marketing and communications technology with professional services, legal preferred. Proven experience in website project management, as a content manager or in a similar role, preferably within a law firm or professional services environment. Experience working on website content and the backend of websites. Exceptional in Microsoft office (Outlook, Excel, Word PowerPoint). Proficient in web content management systems (CMS), HTML/CSS and WordPress.
