Department: Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services
Location: Chattanooga, TN

Who We Are:
Facility dedicated to providing comprehensive care to clients with severe and persistent mental illness.

Role Overview:
As a Physician-Psychiatrist, you will provide psychiatric care to acute and/or sub-acute patients in our in-patient Regional Mental Health Institute (hospital). Your role is crucial in evaluating and treating patients with behavioral health issues, including psychiatric and addiction-related conditions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate patients to diagnose and treat behavioral health issues.
  • Complete and authenticate all necessary documentation.
  • Order and monitor treatments, tests, and medication regimens.
  • Provide expert recommendations to the court regarding commitments, conservatorships, and forensic evaluations.
Qualifications:
  • Must hold a Tennessee Medical License.
  • Completion of an accredited psychiatric residency program is required.
