WSP is currently initiating a search for a Senior Environmental Scientist for our Lawrenceville, NJ office with 5-7 years’ experience working in the New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and New York areas. The following office locations will also be considered: Marlton, NJ or Morristown, NJ. Be involved in projects with our transportation, oil & gas, or transmission Earth & Environment Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client’s objectives and solves their challenges.

Who You Are

Required Qualifications

Education required: BS degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Ecology, or similar disciplineExperience with project management systemsExcellent oral, written communication and organizational skills requiredWilling to travel (extended days / overnights)

The candidate will also be required to perform environmental studies and prepare documentation for permit applications and approvals to the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) and the US Army Corps of Engineers. NJDEP permit involvements will likely include Freshwater Wetlands, Flood Hazard Area Control Act, and Coastal Program Permits (CAFRA, Coastal Wetlands, Waterfront Development). In addition, the candidate will be required to prepared documentation associated with National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) approvals, NJ EO 215 approvals, Green Acres, and Section 4(f) Evaluations. The candidate must be able to work in a team environment, as well as independently, with minimal supervision by the Office Manager and/or Project Managers.
