70.1 Transfer Qualifications:
One year of permanent or contingent-permanent as a Grade 14 or higher determined to be similar by Civil Service.
70.4 Transfer Qualifications:
One year of permanent or contingent-permanent or 55b/c service as a Grade 11 or higher and a passing score on Labor Services Representative exam and a bachelor’s degree *. Note: Candidates must not have failed the most recent examination for this title.
55 B/C Qualifications:
This position is designated 55b/c and is subject to verification of applicant eligibility. Please provide a copy of your 55b/c letter when applying. You must meet the open competitive qualifications from the most recent examination announcement.

Duties Description Standard Duties:
As a Labor Services Representative with the Unemployment Insurance Appeal Board, you will provide administrative support for an Unemployment Insurance hearing office in addition to
assisting customers and providing a broad range of services to jobseekers and employers, both on an individual basis and through group presentations. You will interview customers to evaluate the nature of services desired, obtaining a complete work history including job experience, education, skills, salary ranges and job preferences. You will identify barriers to employment and develop solutions to these barriers. Intensive job placement assistance is key through developing skills-based resume, successful employment interview coaching, providing continuing job leads, conducting employment referrals and advocating for the job seeker when applying for a job. You will provide information on resources available through the Department of Labor.
