This is a remote position.

Job Title: Paralegal

Location: REMOTE 

Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and proactive Paralegal to join our law firm. The Paralegal will work closely with attorneys to provide support in various legal matters, including research, document drafting, case management, and client communication. This role requires strong organizational abilities, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of legal procedures and terminology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist attorneys with case management tasks, including organizing and maintaining case files.
  • Conduct legal research on relevant laws, regulations, and legal articles.
  • Draft legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, contracts, and agreements.
  • Coordinate with clients, witnesses, and other involved parties to schedule meetings, depositions, and court appearances.
  • Prepare and file legal documents with courts and government agencies.
  • Review and summarize documents, including medical records and depositions.
  • Assist in trial preparation, including organizing exhibits and assisting during hearings.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and uphold ethical standards.


Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies, or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience (2-3 years) working as a paralegal in a law firm.
  • Proficiency in legal research methods and resources, including Westlaw or LexisNexis.
  • Strong knowledge of legal terminology, principles, and practices.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management software.

Preferred Skills:

  • Certification as a Paralegal (CP) or similar credential.
  • Experience in Family Law
  • Familiarity with e-discovery software and procedures.

Negotiate settlements and work collaboratively with opposing counsel. 6. Maintain clear and consistent communication with clients, providing updates and answering questions. Manage a caseload efficiently while ensuring attention to detail and accuracy. Qualifications: 1. Associate's degree or paralegal certificate from an accredited program is preferred. 2. Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Executive Assistant or in a related role within a law firm or legal environment. 3. Proficiency in legal terminology, procedures, and software applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, legal databases). 4. Strong written and verbal communication skills. 5. Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities. 6. Ability to multitask, prioritize work, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. 7. Familiarity with legal research techniques and resources. 8. Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards.
