Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Staff Accountant to join our Finance team. The position will report to the Controller supporting all functions of the Finance team. The accountant will be responsible for a wide variety of analytical and specialized accounting administrative support including maintaining records & systems, generating financial reports for various groups, assisting with AR, AP, Payroll, and Cost Accounting. This individual should be highly organized and detail-oriented and possess the ability to effectively work both independently and in a team setting. This role supports our finance roadmap with growth opportunities and efficiency.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Perform general accounting duties, including accounts payable and accounts receivable. Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile transactions. Conduct financial analysis and provide recommendations for improving financial performance. Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes. Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations. Researching and resolving account discrepancies. Manage fixed asset system. Assist with property tax and sales tax filings. Prepare and distribute monthly/weekly/daily reports. Assist in the preparation of financial statements and end of month/quarter/annual activities. Prepare account reconciliations, variance analyses, and various accrual calculations. Assist with Internal and External audits. Conduct regular audits to identify and resolve discrepancies. Additional duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications

Requires a minimum of a bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) in accounting, finance, or business administration and 2+ years of relevant experience. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and analysis. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Multitasking skills to assist multiple tasks at once. Ability to effectively communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders. Microsoft Office proficiency, skills with PowerPoint and Excel, required. Attention to detail with excellent communication skills. Ability to get along in a team environment. Ability to follow all safety policies and procedures. Positive attitude with a continuous improvement mindset.
