PT CompTIA A+ Instructor (Tech Rise Grant)
Course Location: Danvers Campus of NSCC
Course Day/Time: Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9 am - 1 pm in-person
15 hrs per week, August 19, 2024 - June 30, 2025
Non-benefited, grant-funded position
SALARY: $60.00 per hour
GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:
The PT A+ Instructor will lead a cohort of 10 students who have successfully completed the CompTIA IT Fundamentals Exam. This role is part of the CompTIA stackable credentialing process at the college. Utilizing TestOut and CompTIA course curricula, including lab simulations, the instructor will deliver comprehensive instruction and incorporate hands-on learning objectives and demonstrations that align with the coursework.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Conduct in-person classes three days per week in the computer lab, delivering both classroom and lab instruction.Administer and evaluate quizzes and exams to monitor student progress.Develop classroom projects and group activities to enhance learning.Assess student performance and discuss findings with the TechRise Coordinator.Provide additional support and tutoring to students as needed.Document unresolved student issues and performance deficiencies, facilitating further intervention and follow-up with TechRise Coordinator.SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Reports to the TechRise Coordinator
