The Group
Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group is the award-winning owner and operator of some of the most luxurious hotels, resorts and residences located in prime destinations around the world. Our Hotel
With 326 guest rooms and 31 suites, Mandarin Oriental, Miami is in Brickell Key and is a prime location for both business and leisure guests. It is an urban resort with Miami’s only private beach.
Overview of Position
Greet guests warmly and by name, escort guests to their table, provide chair assistance for all guests, and menu presentationMaintain and monitor reservation system and floor plan to ensure turning table efficiency.Assist restaurant colleagues in providing copies menus as requested by the Restaurant Managers.Assist guest and colleagues courteously and efficiently.Suggest wines and beverages to compliment guest meals.Host large parties when scheduledEnsure restaurant ambiance is appropriate, including music, temperature, lighting.Confirm reservations and answer daily email inquiries in timely manner.Handle reservations and prepayment for special events, holiday brunches, wine dinner, cooking classes, etc.Coordinate set menus for all groups and distribute copies of the event form accordingly.Share information of all upcoming events with the Concierge Team.Keep reservation books up to company standard.Check on a daily basis for our regular guest preferences and record them in our daily list for the service.Requirements
• Have a minimum of 1-year experience in similar position in a luxury hotel property.
• Have excellent communication and organization skills.
• Reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language.
• Willing to work a flexible schedule and holidays.
• Be a self-motivator and motivator of others.
• Must be able to work in a high-pace and dynamic operation.
• Able to work together with other colleagues.
• Have a pleasant, friendly and helpful manner.
• Maintain a clean and healthy personal hygiene and grooming.
• Work in a safe, prudent and organized manner.
• Able to handle multiple tasks at one time.
• Able to consistently delight and satisfy our guest
• Able to handle guest requests in a detailed manner
