The inventory clerk role supports the Production Data Analysts (PDA) at the site to ensure inventory reconciliations are completed in compliance with Dow Business Rules.

This role will spend 50% of the time working in the office using computer applications such as Outlook, Excel and SAP. The remainder of the time will be spend completing inventory checks in the warehouse or production areas on a concrete floor. The role will require proficiency in the basic math skills of adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing and computer skills in Microsoft office applications and Outlook email.

The training program is 6 weeks. During the training program, A skills evaluation will be completed, by the PDA that works in the building the Inventory clerk is assigned, to ensure the training is going as planned and determine if the obtained skill level is on track.

At the end of the 6 weeks training an on the job training self-check will be completed to ensure the fundamental job requirements are understood. When the inventory clerk is able to make a 100% on the OJT self-check, the PDA will be able to sign off that training is complete.

When training is complete, the inventory clerk will be responsible for daily inventory checks to ensure accuracy and reconciling any discrepancies that are found. They will also be responsible for weekly inventory checks in the production areas.

This role will also be expected to respond to requests from the PDAs and other Dow partners, such as warehouse personnel, schedulers, etc., to check and reconcile inventory during the day.
