Position Summary:
The Student Nurse Tech provides direct patient care under the direction of the Clinical Nurse Director, Nurse Manager, or Patient Care Supervisor and the supervision of the Registered Nurse, utilizing their skill and expertise to complement other health care providers. Will be dedicated to a care cluster of nursing units and will be a resource to perform specific delegated nursing skills.

Education/Experience:

Currently enrolled in an ADN, BSN, BAN, or post-baccalaureate nursing program. Must have successfully completed the full junior year of the nursing program, or one full year of clinical rotations. Must not hold a current nursing license. Must have completed a student nurse internship (winter or summer) or have accrued hours working as a nursing assistant within the last year. Note: Persons hired into this role may only continue through one semester past graduation date if needed to pass the NCLEX exam

Special Knowledge/Skills/Certifications/Licenses:

Current BLS provider status
