Post Doctoral Fellow

The Robust Electromagnetic Field Testing and Simulation Lab in Oklahoma State University’s School of Electrical and Computer Engineering is seeking a Postdoctoral Research Fellow to join its team. The Postdoctoral Research Fellow serves as a research trainee for the purpose of enhancing and developing research competencies. Participates in planning, designing and conducting highly technical research projects under the direction of a supervisor. May or may not work independently. Analyzes research data and provides interpretations. Contributes to the development of research documentation for publication and/or prepares technical reports, papers and/or records.

This position will involve working in an interdisciplinary team that is developing methods for the assessment of system level EMC to wireless networks, communication systems, and unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) and applying them in practice. Current projects involve UAS applications and the development of methods for application of absorbing materials in reducing emissions.

The position carries a competitive salary plus benefits, travel, office space, and access to anechoic and reverberation chambers for research use. The ideal candidate will have experience with anechoic and reverberation chamber hardware, as well as their maintenance, to support EMC measurements and antenna characterization. In addition to conducting research, they will also be responsible for maintaining and supporting the operation of these chambers.

The successful applicant will be expected to perform innovative translational research, mentor PhD students, give oral presentations, write journal papers, and participate in grant writing.
