Refrigeration Technician

 

Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Refrigeration Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in installing, repairing, and maintaining refrigeration systems, both commercial and residential. The technician will be responsible for diagnosing and resolving issues with various types of refrigeration equipment, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with industry standards. 

Refrigeration Technician Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain refrigeration systems, including walk-in coolers, freezers, display cases, ice machines, and HVAC systems.
  • Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on refrigeration equipment to ensure efficiency and longevity.
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical problems in refrigeration systems.
  • Replace or repair defective components, such as compressors, condensers, expansion valves, and other related parts.
  • Perform brazing, soldering, and other necessary fabrication tasks.
  • Follow all safety procedures and protocols while working with refrigeration systems, including handling refrigerants and complying with environmental regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of all service and maintenance activities.
  • Provide excellent customer service, including explaining technical issues to clients in a clear and understandable manner.
  • Stay current with industry advancements and best practices to provide the highest level of service.
  • Collaborate with team members and support other technicians as needed.

Refrigeration Technician for Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in refrigeration preferred.
  • EPA Section 608 Certification required.
  • Proven experience as a refrigeration technician or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of refrigeration systems, components, and operation.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical diagrams, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various environments, including cold storage areas.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
