Summary of Job Duties

:The Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) position at the UAMS Magnolia Family Medical Clinic offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to our Family Medical Care services. Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

Master’s Degree in Nursing – Family Two(2) years nursing experience  Licensed Registered Nurse in Arkansas; APRN License

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Strong clinical skills, including proficiency in diagnosing and treating acute and chronic conditions Ability to collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and other specialists Experience providing patient education and counseling Knowledge of evidence-based practice guidelines and protocols Proficiency in using electronic health record systems Familiarity with healthcare regulations and quality standards Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients Commitment to promoting academic excellence and advancing healthcare knowledge Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care

Preferred Qualification:

Two(2) years APRN experience Prescriptive authority and a DEA license must be obtained after hire

Responsibilities:

Patient Care: APRNs provide coordination, continuity, and consistency in patient care. Duties will include but are not limited to direct patient care, medical teaching, and research collaborations. Engagement in clinical care and/or scholarly activities that advance clinical medicine are to be included. Additional duties will vary by position, discipline and division. Education: APRNs provide instruction to many individuals on a daily basis in a variety of methodologies. Including but not limited to didactic, bedside and clinical educational experiences. And are expected to promote academic excellence and promote the health & wellness of Arkansans. Appointments may have a varied responsibilities in the area of medical education. Duties will include but are not limited to direct patient care, medical teaching, and research collaborations. Engagement in clinical care and/or scholarly activities that advance clinical medicine are to be included. Additional duties will vary by position, discipline and division. Research: APRNs provide translational opportunities and promote the health & wellness of Arkansans. Are expected to provide research and instruction. Incumbents must be highly skilled and knowledgeable in their particular fields and, where relevant, have specialized experience. Appointees should possess relevant degree or scholarly or professional credentials, which may vary by discipline and department. Appointments may have a varied responsibilities in the areas of patient care, medical education, and/or research. Duties will include but are not limited to research collaborations. Engagement in clinical care and/or scholarly activities that advance clinical medicine are to be included. Additional duties will vary by position, discipline and division. Customer Service: Interacts with and assists the public in a professional and friendly manner as needed. Demonstrates effective communication skills; communicates accurate and complete information; maintains strict confidentiality when necessary. Demonstrates positive working relationships with co-workers, management team, and ancillary departments; follows the Core Concepts of Patient and Family Centered Care and the Basic Code of Conduct Guidelines. Assist internal and external stakeholders as needed with exceptional customer service. Other duties as assigned: APRNs may be assigned additional roles, including but not limited to, fellowship director, division director, service line leadership, resident preceptor, and mentor. The position requires the ability to interact and develop positive working relationships with a diverse group of professionals at all levels within the organization, community, industry and state and federal governments.
