A Manager on Duty is responsible for overseeing hotel operations in the absence of the General Manager in the hotel’s continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability.


What will I be doing?

As Manager on Duty, you would be responsible overseeing hotel operations in the absence of the General Manager in the hotel’s continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

Oversee all hotel operations to include, but not limited to, guest service and registration (check-in/check-out), staffing, room inventory and availability, guest service standards and initiatives, product quality, cost controls and overall profitability, systems use and management, department management and policy and procedure implementation and enforcement Meet and greet guests and respond to guest inquiries, requests and issues in a timely, friendly and efficient manner and resolve guest concerns Communicate with and ensure team members have current knowledge of hotel products, services, facilities, events, pricing and policies and knowledge of the local area and events Assist in operational areas as needed (, cover breaks, etc.) Patrol the hotel and the property to observe service and quality levels and safety and security status to address any issues or concerns Monitor and assess service and satisfaction trends (SALT, Revinate, etc.), evaluate and address issues and make improvements accordingly Complete and review reports Ensure compliance with Company standards

Manager On Duty

Location: Oklahoma City, OK, The Skirvin Hilton Hotel

JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Duty Manager, you will work closely with Guests to greet, converse, and assist with inquiries, especially when VIP Guests, long-stay Guests, and others are in the hotel lobby. A Duty Manager is responsible for managing the first impressions of our Guests and must perform the following tasks to the highest standards:

·Occupy the hotel lobby and other public areas, particularly at busy times

·Promote Hilton Honors and its associated benefits to guests who are not enrolled

·Knowledgeable of up-to-date information on attractions, places of interest, sights and activities

·Engage Guests in conversation and provide general assistance

·Manage, record, and resolve promptly all Guest complaints

·Maintain awareness of guests’ profiles and specific preferences and ensure they are acted upon

·Review VIP reservations and ensure the proper handling of administering amenity orders

·Meet and greet VIP Guests and major corporate clients upon arrival

·Coordinate the services and special facilities provided to long-stay Guests

·Understand all credit procedures and ensure they are applied

·Stay current with all hotel products, services, policies and emergency procedures

·Monitor Guest satisfaction reports and implement actions to improve results

·Handle, record and follow through with management issues or emergencies that arise

·Conduct any Health and Safety procedures, if required, including fire walks, food safety investigations

What are we looking for?

Duty Managers serving Hilton brands are always working on behalf of our Guests and working with other Team Members. To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviors, skills, and values that follow:

·Previous supervisory experience in Front Office within the hotel/leisure/retail sector

·Knowledgeable of Health, Safety and security procedures

·Calm, efficient and the ability to work well under pressure

·Excellent leadership skills and exceptional communication skills

·A passion for delivering exceptional levels of guest service

·Possess strong commercial acumen, with experience in increasing profitability in a tight market sector

·Experience in managing budgets, revenue proposals and forecasting results in a similar sized property

·Able to effectively deal with internal and external customers with high levels of patience, tact and diplomacy

·Collect and analyze accurate information and resolve conflicts

·Walk all floors to include banquet areas to ensure cleanliness of public areas

·Check in with Banquets throughout your shift to ensure guest satisfaction

·Walk Lounge to ensure internal and external satisfaction

·Closely work with Security and/or perform security duties as needed

·Walking property to ensure cleanliness standards

·Support all departments as needed

It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

·Previous role as a senior supervisor or Duty Manager in a similar quality hotel

A degree or diploma in Hotel Management or equivalent
