QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Master's Degree or higher from a recognized, accredited college or university

2. Professional licensure as a speech-language pathologist issued by state licensing board

3. Certificate of Clinical Competence as awarded by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology

4. Minimum of four years of experience as a school based speech-language pathologist

5. Demonstrated leadership ability, strong interpersonal skills, and effective communication skills

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

Probationary/Term Contract: 205 days

Annual Stipends: CCC: $4,000; Master's Degree: $2,000

SALARY:

Pay Grade T60 (Teacher Classification) as approved by the Board of Trustees

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Provide ongoing support to the speech pathology department in the areas of IEPs, assessment, and therapy Provide support to new speech-language pathologists by conducting trainings, observing new staff at the campuses, and providing ongoing feedback Conduct therapy observations and provide feedback to staff as needed Plan and facilitate professional development opportunities for the speech pathology staff Maintain and update the speech pathology department handbook and speech/language eligibility manual Provide support to Clinical Fellows/Interns and their supervisors by updating and reviewing necessary procedures, providing appropriate training, and giving ongoing support Provide support to SLP-Assistants and their supervisors by updating and reviewing necessary procedures, providing appropriate training, and giving ongoing support Assist with collecting data for October count Assist with recruiting speech pathology candidates Assist with end-of-year checkout for the speech pathology staff Supervise Interns and SLP-Assistants as needed Attend IEP meetings as assigned Conduct speech/language assessments as assigned Perform other duties as assigned Regular and reliable attendance is an essential job function

Maintain emotional control under stress. Frequent standing, stooping, bending, pulling and pushing. Move small stacks of textbooks, media equipment, desks, and other classroom equipment.
