POSITION SUMMARY:

The Events Team Member will be responsible for a variety of duties dependent upon the need for the day, while providing participants, members and/or guests an excellent experience in every aspect.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

Greet members and guests and provide information and way finding as needed Assist with selling membership packages and court rentals Provide courteous and friendly first-in-class service to all members and guests Be knowledgeable for guests on various matters such as transport, restaurant advice, etc. Have general knowledge regarding program options and facility events Record waivers and event information Maintain confidentiality and discretion with guest and Team Member information Be responsive to guest concerns and direct to appropriate manager to resolve Manage the inventory of the office supplies and reorder items as needed Setup and take down of event related items Assist during major events with event and parking operations Become proficient with membership and facility scheduling software platforms Follow all facility policies and procedures Ensure correct equipment is available for all games and events Monitor play areas including turf and courts Keep supervisor informed of issues and updates Complete and file corresponding paperwork as necessary Assist with daily maintenance and upkeep of department equipment Complete special projects, daily assignments, and other duties as directed by management

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE HAS:

General sports and event knowledge Strong eye for detail and safety compliance Experience operating an electric scoreboard A strong passion for serving Proficient administration skills Proven ability to learn new software programs Experience and success in customer service, leadership, and organization Action-oriented personality with a 'get it done' attitude and proficiency for efficiency

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Flexible work schedule (e.g., nights, weekends, holidays, and long hours) and regular attendance is necessary Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Proficient computer skills with basic software platforms Ability to maintain focus in a high-volume, fast-paced environment Must have excellent guest service skills Must be detail-oriented and have outstanding organizational skills Ability to multi-task and prioritize Ability to remain calm and focused in difficult and stressful situations Must be respectful and friendly to our athletes, guests, visitors, spectators, leaders and fellow team members Must work well with others Must take personal initiative for the betterment of the team and facility Commitment to the safety and wellbeing of others Must be able to work independently in a busy environment

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Must be able to lift 50 pounds waist high May be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time whether indoors or outdoors, and squat, stoop or bend Will be required to operate a computer Facility has intermittent noise
