Job DescriptionWe are looking for Lead Carpenters that can self-perform all aspects of carpentry to ensure our schedules and budgets are met. The ideal Lead Carpenter is qualified individuals who are skilled in the trade of carpentry to perform all aspects of wood framing, interior trim, exterior trim, metal stud framing, backsplash, and must be able to read construction documents. The candidate must be dependable, well-spoken, clean in appearance, possess a strong work ethic and the ability to engage with customers and subcontractors. Candidate must have reliable transportation and basic tools. Skill in other trades a plus. This is a full-time position, 12 months a year. Starting pay and future raises will be based on experience, skill level, management skills, and the ability to meet budget and schedule. Job Responsibilities Rebuilding all aspects from Water, Fire, Mold, Sewage, and Board-Up jobs Drywall: hanging/taping/finishing, framing, painting, trim, light roof repair, insulating, etc. Reading blueprints, providing material take-offs and all costs associated with carpentry trade. Interpreting client requests and providing mock-ups for clients to approve prior to commencing work. Wood and metal stud framing. Managing 1-4 laborers and/or carpenters. Installing cabinets, moldings, stair components, exterior trim/siding Ensuring high-quality finish is achieved and maintaining a clean/safe job site Skills and Requirements 5+ years’ experience in finish carpentry 5+ years’ experience in rough carpentry preferred Experience in remodeling a plus Extensive knowledge of power tools and equipment Possession of basic hand tools and reliable transportation to job sites Willingness to work overtime when necessary to deliver the project on time Capable of climbing on ladders and carrying at least 80 pounds Ability to use smartphone and tablet effectively Has good communication and leadership skills Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8 am – 4:30 pm. Evenings or weekends are sometimes required to respect client deadlines. Lead Carpenters must have a VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE and PASS A BACKGROUND CHECK Job Type: Full-timeSalary: $20.00 to $28.00 /hour Compensation: $18.00 to $25.00/hour depending on experience
