The Opportunity

Our Old Montreal office has an immediate opening for a Payroll Technician position within our outsourcing service. As part of our outsourcing service team, you will play a crucial role in managing payroll for our clients. You will be responsible for accurately processing payroll transactions, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing professional support to our clients regarding their payroll needs. Your responsibilities

Accurately and timely manage payroll for assigned clients as part of the outsourcing service; Efficiently process time sheets, leaves, and absences of clients' employees; Ensure compliance with payroll laws and regulations; Produce and distribute Record of Employment and other payroll-related documents as needed; Track government deposits related to payroll, including income and tax declarations; Collaborate with clients to resolve payroll-related issues and propose effective solutions; Maintain and update payroll records accurately and confidentially.

Your profile

Solid understanding of payroll processes and current legislation; Minimum relevant experience of one (1) year in a similar role in payroll outsourcing service, preferably; Excellent command of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel; Practical knowledge of Desjardins payroll systems, Nethris (an asset); Basic accounting knowledge, or DEC in accounting (an asset); Ability to work independently and effectively manage priorities; Ability to deliver in demanding situations, such as managing payroll cycles and meeting tight deadlines; Excellent written and verbal communication skills, in both French and English; Client-oriented mindset and ability to build strong professional relationships with clients; Strong sense of confidentiality and ethics in handling sensitive information; Ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate with other departments; CPA accreditation (an asset); Proficiency in French and English, to interact effectively with all our clients in Quebec and beyond.
