TEKsystems is working with a local company in Hawaii that started supporting the DoD and other commercial companies on the island to help with cabling, installing phones and fiber, installing badge scanners, and upgrading computer systems. This role is a full-time opportunity and must be on-site. Training, a vehicle, and tools will be provided for the job

Qualification:

No previous experience is needed. Ability to carry and lift to 50lbs as the equipment and tools are heavy. Ability to pass a drug test and have a valid driver's license. Ability to operate a vehicle. Must have a GED or High school diploma.  Must be able to work on-site from 7 am – 4 pm from Monday through Friday. **With the opportunity for overtime if desired, anything over 40 hours is time and a half pay**

Job Description

Working with installing phones, badge scanners, and upgrading computer systems. Construct a proper splice case, including grounding, bonding, isolation, slack storage, and sealing. Perform work in accordance with industry standards. Interpret buried underground and aerial telecom facilities in records, on maps, and in the field with clarity and detail, and recommend changes in running lines or construction methodologies. Maintain inside and outside plant records during installation. Perform routine maintenance. Recognize and repair route issues, including maintenance and hand hole cleanup, and sign placement. Connect wires and cables to terminals and attaches/detaches various kinds of hardware to wires, cables, buildings, or poles. Respond to and participate in emergency and outage situations that require heavy construction capabilities.  Ensure that all work considers the safety of the customer and public and compliance with all governmental orders. Able and willing to work outdoors and in inclement weather conditions. Complete daily production reports and As-Built documentation on prints.
