We construct the most cost-effective and desirable product by working directly with owners' architects, designers, and representatives. We are currently hiring team members to join our many divisions, which serve the entire state of Michigan. We are currently looking for CDL License holders who can work as laborers and Drivers.

Job Description: A Construction foreman within our company's Signs & Traffic Control divisions will assist with various tasks on each job while working along the highway median.

Signs & Traffic Control Division: You will learn every aspect of the Sign/Traffic Control setup and installation process while assisting the crew leaders in starting and completing projects. As a construction laborer, you will install signs, remove old fences, dig holes for fence foundations, load and unload materials, and install fences on all job sites.

  • Along with starting as a Laborer, you will learn the skills necessary to move into a Foreman role within the team.
  • We seek individuals with previous Highway Sign experience and proven Leadership responsibilities.

Foreman Responsibilities:

  • Lead a crew on the highway for Traffic Control/Signs.
  • Ability to communicate with all members of your team in a positive and productive manner
  • Nightly reporting of work performed and materials used during the day and reporting of time for your crew.
  • Perform tool-box talks weekly with all team members
  • Be a leader for our Safety First mentality and instill that within each team member.


This is a fast-paced, outdoor environment with many opportunities to grow.

Qualifications:

  • Driver's License - Required
  • Driver's License with CDL A or B- Preferred
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Works well in a team environment where situations and demands change daily.
  • Effective Communication Skills

Skills and Experience:

  • Construction experience
  • Power tool operation
  • Ability to work as a team and exhibit Leadership qualities
  • Excellent Communication skills and ability to work with all organizational levels, including external inspectors, partners, and the public.
  • Has a safety-first mentality in all areas of the job.
  • Ability to accurately read a level and a tape measure.

Work Requirements:

  • Ability to perform manual labor as required in an outdoor environment in the heat, sun, cold, and rain
  • This position often requires working out of town on projects that could be a week(s) at a time. The employee is usually home on weekends, but projects could work over a weekend occasionally.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, sit, walk, climb, use hands and fingers, talk, hear, view, and create written documents. The employee uses hand strength to grasp tools and climb ladders or uneven terrain. The employee must frequently reach with hands and arms, such as operating and repairing vibrating machinery, using wrenches, hand tools, etc., and operating motorized equipment and vehicles. The employee must lift or push/pull objects up to 75 lbs. without assistance.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts and is exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and the risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
