Responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance and repairs on railway cars and equipment
- Inspect, diagnose, and troubleshoot mechanical issues
- Use power tools and hand tools to complete repairs
- Conduct routine inspections to ensure safety and compliance with regulations
- Maintain accurate records of work performed - Training of fellow employees in car repair duties and skills

Requirements:
- Strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude
- Experience using power tools and hand tools
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy objects and working in tight spaces
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair techniques
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Excellent problem-solving skills

As a Railcar Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the safety and functionality of railway cars and equipment. Your mechanical knowledge, along with your ability to use power tools and hand tools, will be essential in performing maintenance tasks. You will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and troubleshooting mechanical issues, as well as conducting routine inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations. Your attention to detail and ability to follow instructions will be key in maintaining accurate records of work performed.
