SUMMARY

The Industrial Millwright position is responsible for performing diversified duties to repair and maintain production and facility.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ability to read blueprints, troubleshoot industrial pneumatics and precision hydraulics.
• Ability to use mechanical skills to troubleshoot, dismantle, repair, and install machinery used throughout plant.
• Ability to perform precision measurements using instruments including scales, indicator, caliper, inside and outside micrometer, gauges, etc. to determine shaft, housing, bearing and hub fits and bearing preload clearances.
• Knowledge of using metal working equipment like lathes, grinders, cutting torches, welders, and drilling equipment to perform basic tasks associated with mechanic work, including some shop fabrication of spare parts when necessary.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical assembly and detail drawings and Bill of material and use them in the disassembly and repair of plant equipment.
• Ability to perform preventive, predictive maintenance tasks per CMMS schedule.
• Ability to install and level machines per the prints.
• Ability to refurbish and assemble machines within close tolerance.
• Troubleshoot EOT cranes.
• Lead and/or assist production associates, and other supplemental workers in maintenance activities, as needed, to meet needs.
• Understand specific jobs duties and related instructions, as well as perform other tasks as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Basic knowledge of Industrial Electric.
• Basic knowledge of Process and equipment operations.
• Ability to operate Process equipment.
• Basic rigging, lifting knowledge.
• Use common hand tools such as grinders, chippers, and wrenches.
• Communicate with fellow workers regarding instructions, general work assignments and safety concerns.
• Must be able to pass the Maintenance Physical Demands Test.
• Comply with Company and Industry Standards for Safety.
• Able to follow-up with any maintenance issue.
• Position may require external and internal training for specific equipment and/or general knowledge.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

• Must have high school or higher, associate degree is preferred with10 to 15 years' experience in similar industry.
• Experience in industrial equipment repair and preventative maintenance.
• Experience in small tool repair, light machining, and fabrication.
• Experience in Mechanical, Hydraulic, and Pneumatic Systems.
• Experience with data entry and computers.
