Responsibilities*

Experimental tasks will include:

Participate or lead an independent research project, that will include the following: stereotactic injection, in vivo drug treatment, breathing responses, tissue harvest and processing, and cryosectioning Perform surgeries and behavioral assays on mice; Conduct immunofluorescence and confocal imaging;

Non-experimental tasks will include:

Help manage animal surgery space Organizing animal surgery records

Required Qualifications*

High School Diploma or Associate's degree Minimum of six months prior laboratory experience; Minimum of six months in basic molecular biology (e.g. DNA gel electrophoresis and DNA purification) Minimum of six months experience in mouse handling

Desired Qualifications*

Bachelor's degree (or expected graduate) in Biology or related majors (e.g., Neuroscience, Cellular and Molecular Biology, Biochemistry); Prior experience in the following (> 6 months):Rodent surgeries (e.g., stereotaxic injection);Rodent behavioral essays;Mouse perfusion and tissue harvest;Cryosectioning;Immunofluorescence;Confocal imaging.
