PRIMARY DUTIES:  

All candidates will perform the following duties: 

Provide detailed knowledge of the operation and maintenance of Promina 400/800 multiplexors. Provide detailed knowledge of Global Positioning System (GPS) network timing schemes and devices. Provide detailed knowledge of signal flow, wiring schematics, network timing, and signal conversion. Provide detailed knowledge of testing, measurement, and diagnostic equipment to include but not limited to Fireberd 8000, T-Berd 6000, Fluke 199, O-scope, and spectrum analyzers. Provide knowledge of the operation and maintenance of IP networks. Provide knowledge and familiarity with the different networks in use within RC-SW, USFOR-A, and the ISAF IJC. Provide knowledge and familiarity of encryption devices (KIV-19A, KIV-7 family, KG devices, TACLANE devices, and similar equipment) must know how to configure cryptographic devices to communicate with DISA, Marine Corps, and joint units.  Provide knowledge and familiarity of cryptographic fills, how to load an encryption device, how to verify the fill segments, and how to operate a SKL. Provide network troubleshooting skills and knowledge of networks. Provide technical documentation skills.

SKILLS REQUIRED:  

All candidates will have the following minimum skills: 

Seven (7) years of experience in a military environment related to tactical network systems. Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally with diverse audiences, internally and externally to foster strong teamwork.  Work well independently or as a member of a team environment  Detail-oriented, with strong analytical skills.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:  

Preferred Associate’s degree OR eleven (11) total years of recent specialized experience.

Must be proficient with Microsoft Office.  Experience in maintaining certifications related to the requirement of the position. 

CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

CompTIA Network+  CompTIA Security+
