Teradyne needs talented people to drive our new products through fast-paced development cycle Our Storage Test customers depend on Teradyne to deliver customized solutions for system-level device testing. You will be responsible for managing all planning aspects of our new products from prototype to production release in a fast-paced development cycle. Our Storage Test solutions have a large mechanical content but also include automation and electrical features. Prototype work is executed on-site in North Reading, giving you the opportunity to have hands-on experience in managing on-site builds of product and enabling the transfer of product to production Low-Cost Region suppliers. System-Level Test solutions are customer device-based, creating continuous new solutions and new products to enable quick customer ramp of semiconductor devices to the market. We are currently seeking a New Product Planner to join our North Reading, MA team.

You will have the opportunity to work directly with operations teams and design engineers to carry out the following responsibilities:

Responsibilities include:

Ability to succeed in a highly agile environment that requires attention to detail while maintaining a broader scope vision to implement change. Planning, requisitioning material, and resolving critical material shortages. Monitoring manufacturing builds and reporting to development and management team for onsite pre-production floor.  Work globally with contract manufacturers and suppliers to determine sourcing strategy. New Product Material Planners must be able to work on cross-functional teams and to communicate with all levels of management. Candidates must be able to work independently Ability to find creative ways to resolve problems coupled with critical Recognition of when a problem needs escalation

Basic Qualifications, Experience, & Skills Required:

8+ years of related experience Must have experience in planning new complex products with BOMs having more than 300 unique parts. Must have experience in planning in an electro-mechanical manufacturing environment. Must have experience with contract manufacturers and with global supply chains Prior experience working with an MRP/ERP system required Computer literate with a working knowledge of spreadsheets. Skilled with presentation software, and experience with database tools is helpful Excellent interpersonal and organization skills are a necessity. A team player that has a high level of flexibility, and will work toward common goals inter-departmentally and cross-functionally Nominal travel is a possibility.  Demonstrated proactive planning and leadership skills as well as a proven ability to envision and implement change (problem identification and solution recommendation, and implementation).

Education:

Bachelor's degree required or relevant experience.
