Job Description
We offer individualized mentorship by a team of faculty mentors focusing on unique and distinct needs of each trainee using robust individual development plans. Under the guidance of our faculty the trainee will develop conduct all elements of the research cycle, including grant writing, designing methods, data collection, analysis, and dissemination. The position will benefit from access to broader training opportunities from the South Carolina Clinical and Translational Research Institute and Dissemination and Implementation Science Collaborative. The position comes with support for travel to scientific meetings and workshops and additional funding available for research training-related expenses. Postdoctoral candidate selection criteria: 1) prior research productivity, 2) research interest and experience, and 3) quality and performance during prior training. All candidates will be evaluated for their commitment to a career in academic research relevant to precision health and implementation science. Salary: At the NRSA-level with insurance and other University-sponsored benefits.
Start Date: July 1, 2024. Appointment is for 1 year with the possibility of renewal for another year.

30% - Conduct research within the scope of BMIC efforts. Independently lead projects, and work in teams or individually. -(Essential)
20% - Performs statistical analyses, including selecting the appropriate analysis procedure, setting up data for analysis, judging validity and reliability of data, designing, and writing programs to perform analyses, and producing written reports on the result of the analyses. - (Essential)
20% - Contribute to scientific publications and conferences. Prepare written reports and collaborate in scientific publications authoring and research findings presentation at scientific conferences. - (Essential)
15% - Supervise and be responsible for training staff, graduate assistants, or student employees. - (Essential)
10% - Consultation with co-investigators on appropriate design and development. Assists faculty researchers and other collaborators, or may act independently, in planning and designing research experiments, establishing priorities, and recommending schedules, timetables and costs. - (Essential)
5% - Contribute to shaping scientific objectives, research projects planning, execution, and analysis.
