POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Automation Engineer is responsible for the configuration, testing and deployment of automations in accordance with requirements documentation, standards and guidelines associated with automations for projects of lower complexity. This requires a solid blend of technical, programming, and business facing skills. They are also responsible for the enhancement, support and remediation of the automations in partnership with the customer/business.

IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:

Independently develop automations on more complex projects based on a set of specifications created by the Automation Project Team. For projects at the highest complexity level, may have direct oversight and/or support. Configure and enhance processes/tasks/objects using core workflow principles that are efficient, well structured, maintainable and easy to understand. Have the ability to read and understand process and data flow diagrams Perform unit and system testing of configured automations  Explain and demonstrate built automations to end-users Work in an agile/iterative development environment Interact directly with end-users, to confirm requirements, as needed Provide support and remediation to customer groups and IT as needed for existing automations Work collaboratively with all team members throughout the project lifecycle Report issues and risks to Sr. Automation Engineer and Program Manager on a regular basis Improve skills in automation products by completing automation certification

WHAT YOU NEED TO APPLY:

A computer science degree, or a business degree with a genuine interest in technology A minimum of one year of experience with software development / coding / programming concepts or process/workflow design The ability to learn quickly and progress rapidly through automation tool training with a desire to take on more responsibility Good communication skills with the ability to present technical details to a non-technical audience A self-starter who delivers high quality work and can adapt to new challenges, either on their own or as part of a team Strong analytical skills and the ability to improvise & apply automation solutions to business processes Business acumen and solid understanding of direct business line preferred Strong learning agility; ability to pick up multiple automation tools/processes. Experience in object-oriented programming and agile methodology Awareness of Artificial Intelligence technologies and software automation Good understanding of various automation components and features Formal training on RPA tools (Power Automate Desktop, Automation Anywhere, etc.)
