Occupational Health Nurse Practitioner

What you will do

Provide occupational health services in the Baytown area, including but not limited to acute/emergency care, medical surveillance/monitoring programs, fitness-for-duty assessments, work-related injury/illness management and case management for medical absences Perform alcohol and drug testing Participate in on-call rotation (after hours / weekends) Interface with a variety of stakeholders including emergency response teams, industrial hygiene, safety, human resources, law and business teams Provides clinical guidance to assist in determination of work-relatedness of injuries and illnesses Provides support as needed for internal and external audits 

About you

Skills and Qualifications

Types of Degree - Nurse Practitioner. License to practice as a nurse practitioner in Texas Hold or have ability to obtain a DEA certificate Minimum of 1 year experience as a nurse practitioner  Occupational health experience preferred

Preferred Qualifications/ Experience

This position requires broad clinical knowledge and strong communication, time management and analytical skills Must show willingness to take initiative Must manage shifting priorities Emergency medicine, orthopedic surgery, critical care or occupational medicine experience preferred

Skills / Competencies

Effective communication  Teamwork and Coordination Self-starter  Leadership and working with others Critical thinking skills Interfacing with key stakeholders Proficiency with electronic health records, Microsoft Office Suite applications ( Word, Excel, Outlook) and teleconferencing application ( Zoom)
