Certified Medical Assistant


Growing medical office in Lake City, FL has one open full-time position for a Medical Assistant to assist our providers with patients which will include taking vitals, gathering medical history, completing medication counts, retrieving imaging and medical records and entering details into EMR. Candidate must have a great attitude and a strong desire to work as part of a team to help patients in a compassionate way. Experience with Athena EMR a plus.

Examples of Essential Medical Assistant Duties:
•Welcoming patients to clinic and taking vitals.
•Escorting patients to exam room.
•Preparing exam rooms.
•Preparing patient for Provider (i.e. histories, blood pressure, lab results, imaging, vitals, etc.).
•Returning patient calls/cases in portal/texts with OhMD, calling pharmacies and other medical offices
•Sterilizing and preparing instruments.

•Assisting the Physician during procedures

•Assisting with ordering and stocking the procedure room with supplies.
•Administering injections.
•Following up with lab work and/or xrays.
•Other duties as assigned.
•Applicant must have compassion, enthusiasm, excellent communication skills, reliable transportation and be highly dependable.
