Position Overview: We are seeking a highly experienced Traveling Heavy Civil Superintendent with expertise in dam construction, spillway construction, or similar federal/USACE projects. This role requires extensive travel, primarily from the Montana area, to oversee and manage the execution of critical infrastructure projects nationwide.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage all aspects of dam and spillway construction projects, ensuring adherence to project plans, specifications, and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate with project teams, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure efficient project execution and timely completion within budget.
  • Conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor progress, quality, and safety standards, addressing any issues promptly.
  • Collaborate closely with engineers, designers, and project stakeholders to resolve technical challenges and ensure project success.
  • Prepare and review project schedules, budgets, and reports, providing accurate and timely updates to senior management and clients.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and USACE regulations, environmental standards, and safety protocols throughout all project phases.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (preferred).
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Superintendent or Supervisor in heavy civil construction, specifically with a focus on dam and spillway projects or similar federal/USACE work.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale construction projects, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource management.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively, up to 100% of the time, based primarily from the Montana and surrounding areas.
