We are currently accepting applications for the position of Behavior Technician to provide mental health support services to individuals at our Vantage Point program.

Vantage Point is a youth crisis shelter that provides a safe and positive environment for youth ages 10-17. An HSW functions as a behavior technician who is responsible for the well-being of our clients. Behavior Technicians at Vantage Point support youth through their crisis, provide for their needs, teach life skills, learn appropriate ways to have fun, and be a Role Model.

Schedule: Varies


Compensation: $15.62 - $19.79 per hour (depending on experience)

Additional compensation available for Spanish speakers after testing proficiency.


Essential Functions:

Our Behavior Technicians are an integral part of our team. Some of their duties include but are not limited to:

Providing one-on-one assistance and support

Providing client supervision

Managing crisis situations

Teaching independent living skills

Documenting client behaviors

Participating in staff and peer review meetings

Assisting with document reviews

Monitoring client behaviors and reaction to medications

Assisting to distribute medications

Assuring safety of the clients

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED and one (1) year post high school education in social work, psychology or a related field and one (1) year of general work experience, or an equivalent combination of related education and experience.


Employment at Wasatch Behavioral Health is contingent upon successful completion of a drug screen, motor vehicle record review and criminal background check. After hire you must complete and receive a Criminal Background Clearance (BCI) from Utah State Office of Licensing. Upon receipt of a conditional offer of employment in the position, you must provide an official copy of licensure or certification.
