We are looking for a proven Sales Professional who can drive our new business (just one year old) to the next level while we also expand into the Westchester and Rockland county regions with new schools.  The right candidate may become our Chief Revenue Officer and responsible for a significant revenue target that spans swim lessons, business and corporate development, retail, and additional channels.  We are looking for candidates with experience in working with local area schools, recreational services, and other children's focused partnership opportunities.

Requirements:
  • Proven Sales and Pipeline Management Experience
  • Corporate and Business Development experience, ideally in an educational or children focused industry.  
  • Ability to work with children
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills
  • Must pass background examinations (included with training)
Job Position:  Sales and Marketing Director, Chief Revenue Officer, Sales and Service Manager
Reports To: Owner, General Manager
Summary:  Oversees the quality and success of the sales & service/front desk operations of Goldfish Swim School, including sales functions, customer service, retail, vending, and workplace employee activities.
Duties and Responsibilities:  
  1. Manages the sales funnel from top to bottom, across lead generation, prosecution, and completion in a disciplined, trackable fashion.
  2. Engages in marketing and branding outreach in the local communities, schools, and foundations.  
  3. Manages all regional event marketing efforts.  
  4. Aggressively manages digital marketing efforts, including content, budgets, and attribution.
  5. Works closely with the corporate franchisor on best practices and lessons learned.
  6. Manages customer leads through a disciplined process with CRM, Digital Lead tracking and other methodologies 
  7. Provides leadership, discipline and constructive feedback to our Front Desk Representatives.
  8. Assists in the management of Front Desk staff to ensure high productivity, excellent performance and positive employee satisfaction.
  9. Provides training of Front Desk staff to provide superior performance in customer service, understanding of software tools, Point of Sale and promotional items.
  10. Provides sales and marketing training to all qualified sales staff.
  11. Trains and oversees private party staff to ensure that the GSS standard operating procedures are being maintained.
  12. Holds monthly meetings with the Front Desk staff and Management to go over performance reviews (GSRs). Provides agenda items to address during meetings.
  13. Provides a weekly summary of the Front Desk Notes. Explains any discrepancies in numbers or customer issues.
  14. Provides a weekly audit of the Registration/Withdrawal Log that gets reconciled against the Period Summary Report for accuracy. Reports and explains any discrepancies.
  15. Updates the Complete Withdrawal Log on a weekly basis.
  16. Manages the retail operations of the school.
  17. Establishes a relationship with all new employees.
  18. Conducts all the new hire training (front desk based).
  19. Maintains the entire direct debit reporting - Debt/Class Outstanding Balances overseen by the General Manager and Assistant General Manager.
  20. Responds and creates an action plan to the shift and party notes.
  21. Oversees the job responsibility list at the front desk.
  22. Responsible for the overall cleanliness at the front desk and the dry side of the facility.
  23. Hosts monthly workshops with the employees (front desk related).
  24. Completes all the monthly Golden Support Reviews for the front desk.
  25. Sets sales incentives for the front desk employees in conjunction with the General Manager, to assure that overall goals are considered.
  26. Oversees private party operations.
  27. Oversees the lost and found bin.
  28. Offers customer service follow-up to any upset members.
  29. Ensures all the front desk members have first-aid certifications.
  30. Oversees the EAP portion at the front desk.
  31. Assists in maintaining the employee phone list.
  32. Helps with the subbing process to ensure appropriate staffing.
  33. Oversees the staff bio book.
  34. Oversees Member Appreciation Week.
  35. Ensures the retail area is clean, professional, stocked, labeled and profitable.
  36. Ensures the vending area is clean, stocked, labeled and profitable.
  37. Ensures phone calls and emails are being responded to professionally and in a timely manner.
  38. Creates daily shift notes and sends them to the General Manager and Assistant General Manager.
  39. Fulfills other duties or responsibilities as assigned by the Employer.
Education/Experience: High school diploma or GED is required. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Four or more years previous customer service and/or administrative office experience required. Intermediate level computer skills required using Word, Excel and other software systems.
Certificates and Licenses: Lifeguard, CPR/AED and First Aid certification required. Shallow water attendant highly recommended. 
Work Environment: While performing this job, the employee is exposed to heat and humidity occasionally. Noise level is usually moderate.
