BASIC FUNCTION: The ED Paramedic works under the direction and supervision of the ED Physician.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Triages, preforms assessments, initiates interventions and provides treatments. Determines priority of care based on physical, psychological, and social needs. Records patient triage, assessment, interventions and administered medications in the electronic health record. Administers medications, preforms various diagnostic tests and interventions. Assists physicians during examinations and emergency procedures. Operates and monitors medical equipment as necessary. Observes patients’ progress, records observations in patient medical record, and updates provider when necessary. Performs a variety of tasks and other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic Certificate issued by the State of Colorado. Must have current BLS certification upon hire PALS and ACLS certifications required within 6 months of initial employment. A minimum of 6 months’ experience in a similar role is preferred.

SALARY:

$22.00 - $25.00 Dependent on experience 10% PRN differential Additional $2.00 - $4.00 an hour for weekend and night shifts
