CAD/BIM Tech -BIM Modeler

Overview:

We are currently seeking a CAD/BIM Tech (BIM Modeler) for a well-established AE firm with over 40 professionals. Specializing in medium-scale commercial building projects, particularly on military bases, the position calls for an outgoing, personable, and ambitious individual who excels in a multi-discipline AE environment. The ideal candidate should value collaboration, meet deadlines, produce high-quality work, and be enthusiastic about career growth and assuming additional responsibilities.

Primary Tasks of BIM Tech:

• • Develop architectural Revit BIM models for working drawings.
  • Generate documents related to Revit and BIM, including PXP, M3, COBie, CHX, Process Maps, etc.
  • Conduct clash detections using ACC Model Coordination and Navisworks, collaborating with team members for resolution.
  • Create rendered models in Revit for presentations.
  • Review working models and PDF outputs for compliance with company modeling and drafting standards.
  • Assist in producing and compiling working drawings for deliverables.
  • Daily coordination with various disciplines to address project issues.
  • Support outside firms on multi-firm projects with project setup, deliverable requirements, and modeling compliance.
  • Proficient in Revit for commercial design and construction document production.
  • Basic knowledge of modeling practices in structural and mechanical disciplines.
  • Handles routine and diverse modeling and drawing tasks. 
  • BIM Tech will need to be a self-starter with strong time management for meeting project deadlines.

Minimum Qualifications of BIM Tech:

• 5 yrs of exp creating architectural Revit BIM models for construction working drawings in commercial projects. Requires a solid grasp of other disciplines' work and integrating multiple discipline models into a cohesive building structure.
• Proficient in the latest Revit releases, implementing updates as they become available. Stay updated on the latest Autodesk tools for Revit and BIM.
• Link multiple Revit models through Shared Coordinates, obtaining coordinates from an AutoCAD Survey.
• Extensive experience in Bluebeam Revu.
• Willingness to travel with occasional overnight stays.
• Multitasking ability on multiple projects with deadline management.
• Eagerness to learn, accept direction, be mentored, and build relationships.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting architectural and engineering as-built drawings, recreating plans in Revit with minimal errors.
