Will be directly responsible for programming, operating, and basic preventative maintenance of our Fiber Laser. In addition to the primary Laser Operator duties, the ideal candidate will be involved with other general fabrication duties such as operating a CNC press brake, sheet metal rolling, and various other tasks.

Responsible for the day-to-day programming, operating, and maintenance of the Trumpf Fiber Laser Use Trumpf Trutops program to nest programs to maximize material usage and efficiency Contribute to the completion of the overall production plan by organizing priorities through the laser operation Constantly looks to address quality standards from cut pieces and address any necessary fixes Maintains raw material inventory control by monitoring and tracking allocations and stock levels Material handling duties include unloading trucks and placing product in their proper locations Use MRP system for production reporting, item research, and checking on PO status Utilize software for design and manipulation of D product files Assist and learn to operate Trumpf Press Brake General fabrication of various mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminum alloys Cut, grind, debur, and prep materials as required by job Use of forklifts, overhead cranes, and other work lifting devices Interpret specifications and verify measurements. With supervisors' guidance, alter dimensions on products to fit applications demands Ensure working environment is clean, organized, and safe Collaborate with supervisors and engineering personnel to address discrepancies on drawings Complete applicable quality control forms Build prototypes and test products Track, suggest, and participate in all aspects of machine maintenance Employee must remain flexible to work in a support role for adjacent departments (ie; Fab/Weld, Machine Shop, Paint, and Shipping/Receiving) to maintain level workloads across plant production Performs all other duties as required or directed

What You Bring:

Previous experience in a metal cutting operation; laser (fiber/CO), water jet, or plasma experience required Must have additional fabrication experience in some or all of the following areas: CNC Bending, Rolling, Drilling, Tapping, Sawing, Grinding Experience working in a custom machine manufacturing operation preferred (low volume/high mix environment) Minimum years working in a manufacturing environment Strong competency at interpreting and reading prints/engineering models Experience with Solidworks and Autodesk preferred Ability and willingness to lift up to lbs Willingness to participate in formal training programs to adequately learn the equipment and software present at our facility Must be adaptable to a changing work environment, competing demands, and is able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events. Needs a strong appreciation of the importance of completing tasks on time Ability to work independently as well as part of a team Possess problem solving skills and demonstrate a positive attitude Must be organized and dependable Must comply with all company safety and personnel policies
