Job Summary :

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Centrifugal Pump Specialist to join our team. The Centrifugal Pump Specialist will be responsible for providing technical expertise in the design, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of centrifugal pumps and water transfer hydraulic systems. They will collaborate with operations and business development teams to optimize pump performance, ensure reliability, and minimize downtime. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of centrifugal pump principles, hydraulic systems, and associated equipment.

Job Responsibilities:

Conduct analysis and evaluation of centrifugal pump systems to identify opportunities for improvement in efficiency, reliability, and performance. Provide technical and on-site support for the selection, installation, and commissioning of centrifugal pumps. Develop and implement maintenance strategies to ensure optimal performance and longevity of centrifugal pumps. Perform root cause analysis for pump failures and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Collaborate with engineering teams to develop specifications for pump upgrades, modifications, and new installations. Provide training and guidance to field personnel on best practices for centrifugal pump maintenance and troubleshooting. Monitor pump performance through data analysis and recommend adjustments or modifications as necessary. Stay current with industry developments, emerging technologies, and best practices related to centrifugal pumps and hydraulic systems. Participate in cross-functional teams to support projects and initiatives aimed at improving margins and efficiencies. Communicate effectively with internal departments and external vendors to coordinate activities and resolve technical issues related to centrifugal pumps.

Required Job Skills & Qualifications:

Minimum of year of experience in a similar role, with a focus on centrifugal pumps/systems. In-depth knowledge of centrifugal pump design, operation, and maintenance principles. Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex pump systems. Experience with pump performance analysis and reliability-centered maintenance practices. Proficiency in engineering software tools for pump selection, analysis, and simulation. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. Willingness to travel to our asset area for site visits, quality control inspections, commissioning/decommissioning, and vendor meetings.

Preferred (But Not Required) Qualifications:

Professional Engineering (PE) license. Certification in pump reliability or maintenance. Experience with maintenance technologies such as vibration analysis and hydraulic software. Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to centrifugal pumps (, API, ANSI, ISO). Familiarity with pump systems used in specific industries such as oil & gas, water treatment, or manufacturing. Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related discipline preferred.
