Position Summary

The Department of Mathematics seeks qualified individuals for its Adjunct Instructor pool and welcomes applicants at any time. This posting is for the Fall 2023, Spring 2024 and Summer 2024 semesters. The specific courses involved may vary from semester to semester and openings to teach these courses develop on a periodic basis, depending on department teaching needs.

The anticipated need is for adjunct instructors whose duties may include, but are not limited to, generally in-person instruction on our Frisco campus of lower-division mathematics courses such as business calculus and probability and statistics. This posting is for instructors interested in teaching at UNT’s new branch campus in Frisco, Texas, the nation’s fastest growing city. There is a separate posting for mathematics instruction on our Denton campus.

Additional Posting Details Minimum Qualifications Masters degree in mathematics, statistics, or related field including a minimum of 18 graduate semester credit hours in mathematics (MATH) or statistics (STAT) prefixed courses Preferred Qualifications Experience with online learning platforms such as: Blackboard, Canvas, MyMathlab, Webassign, ALEKS

Experience supervising teaching assistants

Prior experience with project-based learning

Prior experience with team or collaborative teaching
