Technical Development Research Associate- Upstream Development

IntePros is seeking a Tech Dev Research Associate to join our premier Biotech client's Upstream Development team in Philadelphia, PA. This role involves executing production processes for recombinant adeno-associated viral vectors (rAAV) and supporting our gene therapy programs.The Tech Dev Research Associate will be responsible for executing experiments, developing production procedures, and maintaining relevant documentation under supervision. The role requires experience in molecular biology, biochemistry, and gene expression analyses.

Responsibilities:

- Support the execution of plasmid engineering studies.

- Culture mammalian cells for viral production in various formats, including shake flasks, spinner flasks, spin tubes, and benchtop bioreactors.

- Participate in process development programs focused on vector engineering, translating production from small to large scale to support therapeutic programs.

- Design and execute low-complexity scientific experiments; analyze, interpret, and present experimental results to meet pipeline and technical platform development objectives.

- Maintain accurate laboratory notebooks following ALCOA+ principles.

- Collaborate with other teams to design and conduct in vitro studies.

- Design, execute, and analyze data from experimental studies utilizing in vitro models.

- Prepare and review process development protocols, data analysis summaries, technical reports, and other relevant documentation.

- Ensure all work conforms to applicable quality and safety standards.

- Perform additional duties as assigned, including lab organization, consumables stocking, and routine equipment maintenance.

Qualifications:

- BS/MS in Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, or a related field with up to 4 years of experience.

- Experience with molecular biology techniques, especially plasmid cloning, and cell culture is essential.

- Proficiency in molecular biology techniques, including plasmid design, molecular cloning, SDS-PAGE/western blotting, and gene expression assays.

- Experience in aseptic cell culture methods.

- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in documentation.

- Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously, maintain accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies.

- Excellent writing and verbal communication skills.

- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-tasking biotech environment.

- Experience with laboratory automation hardware and software is a plus.

- Working closely with the Process Development - Vector Engineering Team to execute experiments, interpret results, and troubleshoot issues as needed
