Holman is looking for a Senior Tax Accountant to join their team

Principle Purpose of Position:

Maintain and balance sales tax accounts for assigned states/companiesFiles sales tax returns for assigned states/companiesSet up any new state sales tax registrationsResolve tax notices with various jurisdictionsPrepare business license renewalsOther daily tasks as assigned state change letters, correcting invalid locationsAddress internal and external sales tax questionsAssist with internal and external audit requestsPrepare and submit non-sales tax related government paymentsServes as the first line of support for issues/inquiries prior to escalating to managementPerform all other duties and special projects as assigned

Education and/or Training:

Bachelors degree in a related field or equivalent work experienceProficient in various desktop tools including MS Office Programs (i.e. Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc.)

Relevant Work Experience:

1-5 years of accounting experienceBreadth and depth of expertise in a technical or functional area; knowledge of work processes and tools is generally limited to own area of responsibility or departmentReviewing and improving analytics processes, methods, and tools to increase efficiency, accuracy, and security
