A proven leader in the industry for 40 years with 5 locations, is looking to hire a Diesel Shop Mechanic to service and repair an extensive line of compact construction, forestry and grounds equipment. Get paid $25.00- $34.00 per hour for your experience, strong mechanical and problem solving skills NO WEEKENDS - M-F 8:00- 5:00 Work in our newly renovated store located in Burnsville, MN.

Position duties and responsibilities for Diesel Mechanic:

  • Diagnose and repair equipment as needed
  • Perform required preventive maintenance
  • Obtain or order parts needed for repairs
  • Communicate job progress to service manager
  • Inspect and test equipment when work is completed
  • Check work orders for complete and accurate description of work performed, parts, and labor
  • Maintain company safety standards and work area organization
  • Attend company paid training to keep current on new equipment and updates

Position requirements for Diesel Mechanic:

  • Previous experience as a mechanic in diesel engine repair and service
  • Complete set of tools that you can build on with our Tool Allowance Program
  • Experience with hydraulic/hydrostatic systems and electrical systems and troubleshooting
  • Bobcat or similar compact construction equipment
  • Strong computer skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Good time management skills and commitment to completing jobs as scheduled
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
